Crown Chapel

Alex & Lindsay Kazemi

Alex was born in Iran and raised in Sweden. At the age of 21, he was a multiple Swedish and Nordic Thai-Boxing champion, pursuing the dream of one day becoming a world champion. After years of his mother praying faithfully for him, one Sunday morning his brother invited him to go to church. That morning he experienced the unconditional love of God, gave his life to Jesus Christ, and was set free. From that day on, his dream changed from wanting to be the champion, to serving the One and Only TRUE Champion. After completing an internship season of growth in the Word of God with YWAM (Youth With A Mission), Alex met his wife Lindsay while on a mission trip to Armenia. After marrying, they moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where Alex attended Bible college while also working for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He graduated from Charis Bible College in 2017. They, along with their children, relocated to Ohio in 2018 to be part of the planting of Identity Church, where Alex served five years as Associate Pastor. He and his family were sent out to Lee County from Identity Church in 2023, for the planting of Crown Chapel. Alex and his wife Lindsay are so excited to guide the Crown Chapel family to the abundant life offered through a relationship with Jesus Christ!

Melvin & Tamara Pietersz

Melvin and Tamara, two individuals deeply rooted in their faith, came together as childhood sweethearts. Melvin’s upbringing in a Christian household, where his parents served as local church pastors, and Tamara’s occasional attendance at Sunday school in her younger years, eventually led them both to convert in their early twenties. Melvin pursued his theological education at Portland Bible College in Oregon, while Tamara followed her passion for social work and earned her degree. Their unwavering faith propelled them on a diverse journey, serving in a local church in Jakarta, Indonesia, and exploring various preaching opportunities. In 2009, Melvin assumed a managerial role at Qredits Microfinance Netherlands, while Tamara dedicated herself to the welfare of youth and families. This transformative journey ultimately led them to answer the call to establish a local church, Gateway, in 2023. They have always focused on walking in the destiny God has given them. This way, they will constantly challenge the church to do the same, pursuing their destiny in Christ.
