Please take a moment to review the following childcare policies and procedures.
Sick Policy
For the protection of everyone, please do not bring your child to class if he or she has any of the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Ear pain due to infection
- Diarrhea
- Persistent cough
- Vomiting
- Swollen glands
- Sore throat
- Heavy congestion
- Contagious rash
- Lice
- Colored discharge (nose, ears, eyes)
- Pink eye
If your child exhibits any of these symptoms while in our care, we will contact you immediately.
Arrival Time
To help our classrooms run smoothly and provide the best experience for all children, we kindly ask families to arrive on time and check children in before service begins at 10am. Late arrivals can be disruptive to worship, lessons, and transitions already in progress. Thank you for helping us create a calm and consistent environment for the kids and volunteers.
Check-In & Emergencies
Every child receives a sticker ID and number upon check-in. If your child has a need or in the event of an emergency, the ID number will be displayed on the projector screens in the sanctuary, and you will also receive a text requesting you to report to their classroom. Please keep an eye on your phone and respond promptly if your child’s number is displayed. If an accident occurs, a report will be completed by the classroom volunteer.
Toddler Behavior & Transitions
Toddlers can go through different stages sometimes acting aggressively with one another. If this happens, we may request parental interaction to correct the behavior and move forward. Transitions can be challenging, and we will allow children a few minutes to work through initial emotions (including crying) as they adjust to the classroom, while our volunteers offer calm reassurance and support. Our heart is for all the children to remain in their classroom during the whole duration of kids class, so they can fully participate and grow with their peers.
